Who Are We?
Hi, so nice to meet you!
We’re Liora and Iris—two moms living in Israel (Modiin and Petah Tikva), each raising four kids. Our families love celebrating Jewish culture and traditions in an open, joyful way—what we in Israel simply call “secular.” For us, that means a deep, natural connection to our heritage without strict rules.

Having both lived in the US for several years, we experienced Jewish life abroad firsthand. We realized that bringing Judaism into your home outside of Israel takes active effort—it doesn't just happen on its own. That experience helped us design Shalomi so it fits seamlessly into your everyday life.
October 7 changed us all—both as individuals and as a people. Out of that profound moment, one truth became clearer than ever: the Jewish people must stand united, connected, and stronger than ever before. Jews in Israel and across the world need each other, and that unbreakable bond starts right at home, with our children.
What kids absorb in their early years—the warmth of tradition, the joy of heritage, and the feeling of belonging to a global family—becomes a core part of who they are for a lifetime. That’s why we created Shalomi: to give kids those strong roots, a true sense of belonging, and a proud, joyful connection to their identity that stays with them forever.
To make sure every detail hits the mark, an American Jewish educator reviews and approves all our content. You can always feel confident that what you share with your kids is authentic, age-appropriate, and super engaging!
