Shalomi
is Simple
to strengthen Jewish children’s pride in
their heritage and in their identity.
The world today often sends messages that can weaken or even distort the way children see themselves as Jews. These messages may make them question their belonging or feel hesitant about expressing their identity with confidence. We believe that no child should let the outside world define who they are.
That is why Shalomi was created - to give kids a positive, joyful, and accessible experience that connects them to their roots. Through stories, games, activities, and a sprinkle of Hebrew, we empower children to grow up with pride, belonging, and love for their Jewish identity – so they carry it forward with strength and joy.
About the Founders
Iris Moran
A mother of 4 living in Petah Tikva, Israel. She brings many years of experience from the high-tech industry. At Shalomi, she is responsible for shaping and creating the content, making sure every book is both meaningful and fun for families.
A mother of 4 based in Modiin, Israel. She brings her expertise in strategy and marketing to Shalomi. She leads the project’s vision and ensures it reaches families worldwide, strengthening Jewish pride at home.
Liora Goren
Who Are We?
Shalomi is a small Israeli business founded by Liora Goren (Modiin) and Iris Moran (Petach Tikva). Inspired by our own families and a shared passion for Jewish life, we combined our professional backgrounds and life experiences to create Shalomi. Liora leads our marketing and long-term strategy, while Iris crafts the activities and content.
We built Shalomi because we believe that every Jewish child, no matter where they live, deserves to connect to their roots in a way that feels joyful, modern, and right for their family.
In these challenging times, we feel it is more important than ever to strengthen the bonds that unite the Jewish people—and the best place to start is with the next generation. When kids absorb our values with a smile, they grow up with a deep sense of pride, belonging, and love for who they are.
Even though our people are scattered across the globe, we share one story and the same ancient roots. Shalomi helps kids learn with joy, feel connected to Israel and their heritage, and grow into proud members of our global Jewish family.
